Space availability screen
A space availability screen is a screen outside the space which contains the information on a space's availability at the current time. This screen is activated and connected to the space through the admin portal.
If a space is available, the screen is green, if a space is booked the screen is red, and if a space is closed or offline the screen is grey. The screen also displays when the next available booking is.
The screen also contains a QR code which the app user can scan to open the app and book the room.
A building logo (max. 80px high) can be added on the bottom right corner to brand the screens, reach out to your client services lead to get this added.
Steps
- From the left-hand side menu, click Spaces > Available Spaces.
- On the Available Spaces screen, navigate to the space you want to turn on a space availability screen for and click Actions > Edit Space.
- Scroll down to the Display Settings section and toggle on the Spaces Availability Screens.
- Click Save.
- Back on the Available Spaces screen, navigate to the space again and click Actions > Space Screen URL.
- On the Space Screen URL modal, highlight and copy the URL and then click Close.
- On the screen outside the space, open a web browser and paste in the URL copied from the admin portal to view the availability screen as a webpage. To view the availability screen as a full page and add an icon on the device home screen for quick access, follow steps 8-11. Note, steps 8-11 are for an iPad and similar steps may apply for other devices.
- After pasting the link, click the share button at the top of the web browser.
- In the drop down, click Add to Home Screen.
- In the Add to Home Screen drop down, give the new icon a title and click Add.
- The new icon will now appear on the home screen.
