Promo code creation/edit form field descriptions – Host Building

Promo Code Name (*Required) – The name of the promo code. This is for admin portal use only and is not displayed in the app or to the app user.
Promo Code (*Required) – The code you want the app user to enter to receive the discount. Keep it short and unique.
Promo Code Start Date (*Required) – The date the promo code is applicable from.
Promo Code End Date (*Required) – The date the promo code is applicable to.

Vendor and products

For which Vendor? (*Required) – The vendor the promo code is for. Only one vendor can be selected.
Are you repaying the vendor the discounted amount? – Depending on who is covering the discounted amount, select yes or no. This field is for reporting purposes only.
Applicable products? – Is the promo code applicable to all of the vendor’s products or only to select products.

Promo code type – Whether the discount is a dollar value or percentage of the order value.
Discount amount – How much the discount is without a dollar or percent sign.
Maximum discount amount – If a percentage discount is selected, you can specify the maximum discount allowed. For example, if you set a 10% discount, however you don’t want to allow discounts over $100 then enter 100. If no maximum discount amount is required, leave blank or enter 0.

Order Value Required – Minimum order value required for the promo code to be applied. If no minimum order value is required, leave blank or enter 0. For example, if the min. order value is $5, the app user must spend at least $5 to be able to apply the promo code to their cart.
Order Value Required – Maximum order value required for the promo code to be applied. If no maximum order value is required, leave blank or enter 0. For example, if the max. order value is $100, the app user must spend under $100 to be able to apply the promo code to their cart.
Total Redemption Limit – Total promo code redemption limit for all users. For example, a vendor could be offering a 50% discount for the first 100 orders, therefore the total redemption limit would be 100. If left blank, it will default to unlimited redemptions.
Maximum Number of Usages per user – Total promo code redemption limit per user. If left blank, it will default to single use per user.
