Product options
Product options are options or customizations available to add to an individual product and/or every product in the category.
For example, the base product could be a cappuccino, the product options could be the milks available.
Steps
- From the left-hand side menu in vendor admin, select Menu then select the category you would like to add a menu item/product option to.
- On the category’s page in the top right-hand corner click Actions > New Option.
- Give the new product option a name and choose whether the app user can choose only one option or multiple. This name is the category type for which all relevant options will be grouped under. Single selections displayed as required, whereas multiple selections are not required and can be left unselected by the app user.
- Click Save.
- Back on the category’s page, click on the option in the top right-hand corner and click New ‘option name’ Option.
- Complete the fields within the Add Product Option modal:
- Name – name of option
- Price adjustment – The cost associated with this option. The cost can be a positive or negative amount. Leave blank if no cost is required.
- Apply as discount to total cost – apply the cost as a discount to the menu item/product.
- Is default selection – tick to make as default selection in app.
- Sold out – tick to mark as sold out.
- Suppress this option in POS/receipt – tick to hide the option from the POS/receipt.
- Daily quota – limit the sales to a fixed amount per day. The option will be shown as sold out if this quota is reached. Set to 0 for an unlimited quota.

Sold out description – Enter an alternative description to ‘Sold Out’ to be displayed when the option is marked as sold out or the daily quota is reached.
- Click Save. Repeat until you have added all options.
