How to set up vendor locations

Vendor Locations

A vendor can have multiple locations. These locations can be dine-in, delivery or pick-up locations.

Vendor locations should be created before product categories or menu items/products.

To add custom fields to vendor locations see how to add and manage vendor location custom fields.

Steps to create a vendor location

1. From the left-hand side menu in vendor admin, select Vendor Locations.
2. On the Vendor Locations screen in the top right hand corner click Actions > New Vendor Location.
   
3. Complete the fields within the New Vendor Location modal:
   • Location Name – The name of the location
   • Serving type – The serving type of the location
   • Lead time – How long it takes to process an order. Works in tandem with the delivery times to create dynamic delivery times. For example, if a customer orders at 8:50am and the lead time is 15 minutes, the customer would not be able to choose 9am delivery, they would have to choose a delivery time that is 9:05am or later.
   • Deliver to tenants office – Ticking this allows a delivery cost/fee to be associated with the delivery location.
     
4. Click Save. The vendor location created will appear on the Vendor Locations screen. To add delivery times to the vendor location, see steps to edit a vendor location.
   

Steps to edit a vendor location

1. From the left-hand side menu in vendor admin, select Vendor Locations.
2. On the Vendor Locations screen, navigate to the vendor location you want to edit and click Actions > Edit.
   
   
3. Make the changes required or add delivery times for the location.
   
4. Click Save.

Steps to delete a vendor location

Note, deleting a vendor location will also delete any custom fields associated with the vendor location.

1. From the left-hand side menu in vendor admin, select Vendor Locations.
2. On the Vendor Locations screen, navigate to the vendor location you want to edit and click Actions > Delete. 
   
   
3. A warning modal will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the vendor location, click Proceed.
   
4. Click Save.

Tip

On the vendor location screen, use the hide and default toggles to easily hide a vendor location from view or make a vendor location the default option in the app.
