How to manage poll categories

Poll categories

Poll categories are a way to group similar polls in the admin portal. The categories are not visible to the app user.

Steps to add a new category

1. From the left-hand side menu, click Polls > Poll Categories.
2. On the Poll screen, in the top right corner, select Actions > New Poll Category.
   
3. On the New Poll Category modal, give your category a name.
   
4. Click Save. Your poll category will now appear on the Poll Category screen and will be selectable when choosing a category for your poll. Under Active Polls you will be able to view at a glance how many polls are using the poll category.
   

Steps to edit a category

1. From the left-hand side menu, click Polls > Poll Categories.
2. On the Poll Categories screen, find the poll category you want to edit and on the far right of the poll click Actions > Edit.
   
3. Make the required edits to the poll category name.
   
4. Click Save. Your changes will be reflected immediately.

Steps to delete a category

Note, you will only be able to delete the poll category if a published poll is using the poll category.

1. From the left-hand side menu, click Polls > Poll Categories.
2. On the Poll Categories screen, find the poll you want to delete and on the far right of the poll click Actions > Delete.
   
3. A warning modal will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the poll category, click Proceed.
   
4. Your poll category is now deleted.
