How to manage a homepage feature carousel

Homepage feature carousels

The app homepage can have up to four feature carousels. Feature carousels can have content display automatically. The below instructions are for automatic population of content.

Each feature carousel can display from 1 to 10 offers, events, news articles or services and allow the app user to go straight to the offer, event, news article or service from the homepage.

In the admin portal, the homepage feature carousels will always be listed in this order on the Homepage screen:

• Offers
• News
• Events
• Services

Feature carousels can only be added and managed by client admins and the settings applied will apply to all buildings the client controls.

Steps

1. From the left-hand side menu in client admin, select Homepage Screen.
2. On the Homepage Screen the four feature carousels will be listed. Navigate to the feature carousel you want to add to the homepage, use the field on the left to enter a title for the feature carousel and use the Active toggle to toggle-on the feature carousel to show in the app. 
   
3. On the right of the feature carousel click Actions > Configure Offer/News/Events/Services Category.
   
4. In the configuration modal:
   • Hide suppressed categories: Select yes if you would like supressed categories to be hidden from the homepage feature carousel. Selecting no will show suppressed categories.
   • Order by: Select the order the offers/news/events/services appear in, depending on the feature you can order these in different ways, refer to the screenshots below.  
   • Maximum number of tiles to display: Choose to display 1 to 10. Note, the maximum number of titles to display looks all content available, not taking into account if the app user has the group targeting permissions required to see the content.
        
5. Click Save. The homepage feature carousel is now configured and will appear on the app homepage as per the rules applied.
