We’ve been working hard to make Host Building better! Here’s the new and improved features, integration updates and resolved bugs you’ll find in this release.
What’s new
Analytics Opt-Out changes
In this release we have introduced the ability for App Users to decide whether they will have behavioral analytics about their app usage sent to Google Analytics. This is to comply with Google Analytics' Terms of Service and to assist you with complying with your regional data protection regulations.
By default, this new functionality will be set to Opt-Out at launch. This means that the app user will have analytics run on them unless they explicitly refuse. The app user will be able to make this change from their My Profile screen.
Clients may choose to have the configuration changed to an Opt-In System. When set to opt-in on the next app launch, all users will be shown a pop-up, asking if they consent to Google Analytics. New users will be shown this screen as part of the registration process and all app users can update their preferences from My Profile.
Please speak to your Host representative if you would like your buildings to be Opt-In for Google Analytics. See Important Usage Analytic Changes for more information.
Admin Portal passwords must contain a special character
When an admin portal user chooses a password, they will now be required to include a special character.
What’s improved
Braxos integration
A settings cog has been added to the top right-hand corner of the Choose Destination screen allowing app users to navigate to a new settings screen. This settings screen will allow the app user to add a linking code, navigate to my profile and contact support.
Iviva improvements
Iviva QR codes for building access now refresh automatically to save the app user having to manually refresh their screen.
Offer redemption limit [Android only]
Once an app user has redeemed their offer limit, the app user will no longer be able to tap into the offer to see the details view. This change brings Android in line with the iOS functionality.
Admin Portal Dashboard Filter Total Users Graph
In V1.74 we communicated some changes to the Total Users graph. We have further refined the graph’s functionality to be filterable. Admin portal users can now filter the Total Users by clicking the cog and selecting either Current or Lifetime users from the Show Users drop down. To align with this change the title of the graph has been changed from Total Lifetime Users to Total Users.
Integration updates
- HID updated to V1.9.0 on Android and V1.9.2 on iOS
- Update Kastle SDK to 3.7.7 on iOS
- Openpath tableview can now handle a nil data source from SDK
Resolved bugs
App
- News articles created with an external link are not displaying full article content and is being cut off by the external link button. [iOS only]
- Offers that don’t require a pin code to be redeemed don’t display a redemption message when offer is clicked on iOS.
- On list views, if the app user keeps scrolling once they have hit the bottom of the page the footer menu does not appear. [Android only]
- Events configured with a list selector custom field are unable to progress past the event ticket confirmation screen as the call-to-action button is hidden. [iOS only]
- A burst push notification targeting a specific menu tile or piece of content only opens the application, not the area of the app targeted.
- Spaces detail view screens are showing images with the old gradient overlay. [iOS only]
- Single and multi-response polls are selecting all poll responses when the app user scrolls or selects a poll response.
Admin portal
- Burst push notifications sent from building and client admins intermittently failing to send.
- When building admins try to create a vendor category option, the modal does not load and stays in a loading state.
- When a building admin creates a new homepage banner which links to a suppressed news category, it redirects the app user to a single news article on iOS only.
- Data exports for event bookings are displaying the datetime column in the wrong timezone.
- Data export for space bookings are displaying the booking decision date in the wrong timezone.
- When wysiwyg is used to create bold and italic elements in an event description, the bold and italic elements display in the event .ics file as html.
