We’ve been working to make Host Building better! Here’s the new and improved features, integration updates and resolved bugs you’ll find in this release.
Spaces
NEW reports available
Building and client admins are now able to export aggregated reports for spaces bookings.
As well as exporting a .csv report of all booking for an individual space, building admins can now run a report which will show all bookings for all spaces within the nominated building.
Client admins, via the "data" section of the portal, can run a report which will show all bookings for all spaces associated with all buildings under that client.
All reports ask the admin to choose the date they would like to report on, prior to running the search.
IMPROVED UI
- In app changes to line spaces and padding of text boxes and images resulting in an enhanced design.
- In the portal, when building admins are adding a Space booking on behalf of an app user, the email address field label has changed to "App User's Email Address" as opposed to "User's Email Address". This change has been made to reinforce the that the user must already be registered as an app user for the admin successfully processed with the booking.
NEW add space policy
Within the admin portal each space can be configured to support two policies which will be shown to app users, ensuring they are aware of all the conditions to book the space.
To add policies, admins should select 'Policy Management' under the 'Actions' for each space. Admin can add the policy content, modify the name of the policy that appears in the app and define if it is mandatory or not. The default policy names are 'Privacy Policy' and 'Terms & Conditions'.
The email confirmation to app users of their bookings included a link to the spaces policies.

Stripe
Building Admins have been provided greater visibility of the onboarding status of a Stripe account, as well as additional, basic information regarding the account which has been paired.
In the screen "My building/ Building > Account / view accounts > Actions/ Stripe Onboarding" the following fields of additional information are now included:
- Business name
- Stripe Display Name
- Payments Active
- Payout Active
- Verified
Food & Beverage
- Building and client admins can choose to turn off automated SMS's for individual F&B vendors.
- Within the Vendor Admin portal and on vendor reports, gratuities now have their percentage value noted in-line with the dollar amount paid.
Mobile Access
- For all mobile access integrations, app users will be shown an in-line notification on the My Registered Access screen if they have location services turned off. This is a reminder notification as location services need to be enabled for the mobile access feature to be able to unlocking readers.
- Kastle Integration – A new feedback feature has been added. When app users tap the "send feedback" button they are prompted to use the phones default email app. Attached to the app users feedback email is an automatically generated PDF log which documents the version of the Host app, what operating system the phone is running and which version of the Kastle SDK is being used. The "send feedback" email template pre populates the "To" field with the hostbuilding@cbre.com and client nominated mobile access email contact address.
- Proxy integration - App user will now see a "Contact Support" button. This will allow user to contact support quickly if they experience issues while attempting to access the building or a certain door.
Other Improvements
- Registration - As part of the registration process, new users on Android are now asked to "Please select Tenancy" as opposed to "Please select Company". This brings the Android experience in line with the iOS language.
- Events - Email templates for system generated communication to app users regarding events can now include the event description field.
Resolved Bugs
- When an app user places an F&B order, they are automatically sent an SMS which can be responded to with either 'N' or 'No' to cancel the order. User replies were failing to cancel the order.
- On Vendor admin reports the 'Charged Price' column was not showing the correct amount, instead displaying the 'Product Price' as opposed the Product Price + tax. This bug was not apparent if the Product Price was tax inclusive.
- On Android user input in the form of an 'upload image' type custom field was not showing on the checkout screen for loan services.
- If a Food & Beverage vendor is set for "pay on arrival" iOS users will not see the option to change payment method. This aligns the Apple experience with Android.,
- HID users were losing credentials.
- Tiles with suppressed categories (only one category) pointing towards them were seeing the filter from the main tile of their type, rather the apps icon logo.
- Spaces - Android app users were unable to book a space if the session ended at midnight.
- Spaces - On iOS app users were seeing the 'Cancel' button after the admin nominated "cancellation cutoff" period was in effect.
