We’ve been working to make Host Building better! Here’s the new and improved features, integration updates and resolved bugs you’ll find in this release.

My Buildings

New Feature: Link Amenities Images

From the Admin Portal, when configuring the Amenities of a building, there is now the additional capability to configure a label and an area within the application to link the content to.​ 

This will allow the user to tap on the image to find out more about the amenity or go straight to the page to book it. ​ 

At the moment this only supports internal linking and does not send the user to an external page or app.​

User Registration Alerts

NEW FEATURE 

An admin account holder can automatically be notified each time a new user has registered to the application.  

Alerts are disabled by default. To update this setting for an account head to: Accounts > Actions > Edit account > scroll to the bottom of the modal to toggle this feature on/off 

Multi-Rate Tax

NEW FEATURE: Support for inclusive & exclusive rates 

All features that support e-commerce capabilities can have different tax rates applied e.g. an F&B vendor can have one rate for confectionary products and another rate for drinks. ​This logic had been extended to handle inclusive and exclusive tax rates. 

Each item for sale in a building will automatically have the site's default tax rate applied. To change this the admin can edit the content and choose another rate from the list of rates available to that building. Each available rate is identified as "Prices including tax" or "prices excluding tax".  

When a user is completing the checkout for any of these products, they will see clearly how the tax is applied, either inclusive or exclusive. The cost of the products will be charged accordingly.  

Reporting for vendors has been updated to include tax information, noting on each item if the product price is inclusive or exclusive of tax, the tax rate, and the product tax amount.  

Events

IMPROVED user interface: 

• Sessions that have multiple session times are now indicated with a ‘+ x more’ label.​ 
• We have removed the call-to-action button to save space and show more information, clicking anywhere on the card takes the user to the Event details.  
• The price labels updated to also reflect "Free" and "Sold out" with a convenient color-coding system: Blue - cost, green - free, red - sold out.  
• Booked sessions display on the card view for quick scanning​. 
• Duration has been removed to save space. Interested users have shown they click the event to learn more. 

Event Discounts 

• When creating a discount, admin and choose if they do or do not want to communicate that the account is discounted. (e.g. if an event is $20 at full price with a 30% discount, if the discount is NOT communicated the user will only know that they are being charged $14). 
• Discounts are reflected in all event reports. 
• Discounts can now be disabled before they expire by toggling their active status to 'Off'.  

Manage Credit Cards

IMPROVED user interface

• The landing page for Manage Credit Cards [My Profile > My Credit Cards] displays Host Building's ‘Add a Payment Method’ default screen​. 
• The list view of users' cards has been improved & the user can continue to select and save a primary card as the default card.​ 
• When a user adds a card, an action sheet is displayed to gather the details​: This uses the Stripe SDK to collect all information securely. This information is not stored within the app or with Host. ​ 
• Strong customer authentication - any cards added will support displaying and accepting a challenge from any Bank. 
• Users can add a new credit card to their subscriptions 

Portfolio spaces 

Spaces can now be shared between buildings with the same client. The Space remains in the portal of the original building and at current is only visible in that admin portal.  

Strong Customer Authentication: Events 

Continuing the implementation for SCA; any event booking purchase will support displaying and accepting a challenge from any Bank. ​ 

If a challenge is not completed the booking will be cancelled and the seat will not be held. The user will have to restart the booking. 

Proxy integration 

• Updated SDK. 
• Updated welcome email for new users. 
• Users have the option to toggle a “Scan for doors” feature on or off. This brings the iOS experience in line with Android.  

Other Improvements

• News & Offers - Copy text - App users on iOS can now long tap and copy the text on both News and Offers features. ​ This brings iOS in line with the Android functionality.  
• Angus Integration - When users submit a work request it is automatically assigned to the user's Angus Requester Reference Number.  
• Stripe - Improved reporting to app users in the case of payment failures. Wherever possible, the app user will be notified of the reason for the payment failure (e.g. 'Your card has expired') as opposed to a catch-all ' your payment failed' statement. 
• Kastle integration - Updated SDK. 
• Kastle integration - Users are notified on the 'My Registered Access' screen if they haven't granted location permission, reminding them permission is required for hands-free unlocking readers.  
• My Building - Contacts - Contact cards updated to slimline design. 
• Services - When a request is submitted, the user is sent a success message then taken to the home page of the app. This aligns Android with iOS. 
• Promo codes - Can now be disabled before they expire by toggling their active status to 'Off'. 
• Covid Survey integration - Survey results email can be sent to multiple email addresses.  
• Homepage - Content shared across buildings will be displayed in feature carousels with the option (at client level) to exclude suppressed content.  
• Homepage - Feature banner at top of the page supports external links. 
• F&B - email receipts support both 12hr and 24hr time formats. 
• Translations - Continuing work to improve the translation process and user interface adjustments to support allow for a variety of alphabets.  
• App user list - improved performance speed when admins search this list.
